...angels - servants...

What did an angle do that made him "become an angel"? Why are there angels while at the same time there are also "inferior" beings like us humans.

Well knowing that this is a metaphor lent from the bible, there must be found an explanation why there is a universe of which we don't know how it works and there's us, the "inferiors", slaves or servants.
But whom and what institution of the universe are we serving to?
