The Mystery of Our Existence

This is my main blog, written in the form of a diary. Enjoy reading my sometimes whimsical way of explaining things. IMPORTANT NOTE: I´m not responsible for the content of any websites I´m linking to!!!

I'll be a hundred and ten in the not too distant future, the old ship's got a few blotches, but she's still on course!

Being Fifty Plus

At 50plus, I've got to think more and more often: What comes next?

Many scientists say life wasn't a freak accident at all, but the likely outcome of the interaction of the molecules and minerals of the Earth. "Life is an elaboration of something very simple [...]. It looks easy and inevitable."
(National Geographic Society, Mar 2006, page 31).

There are several stages that we have to go through in our lives.
In this blog, I might soon come to the point where I can put my thoughts onto the screen and make them available to other people as a persistent legacy, thanks to the fantastic internet technology - which is indeed the brain of this world.

There's an analogy between the many cycles that reign the universe (the seasons, the revolution of all bodies in space).
For us humans we may suggest the following analogy:
SPRING...baby, like a new computer, the bios is the culture that she's born into, the os may be the language, and the learned programmes dictate how she behaves during her life. A bad set-up will create a problem-laden life with many crashes.
SUMMER...a wife, a job, children.
AUTUMN...looking back, enjoying the wisdom you have hopefully acquired.
WINTER...the Boney Man says Hi.

And another cycle will start.

Wishes for "a" ("my") next my-cycle: To be healthy (all systems in good shape, ie not blind, not deaf, etc).
To use my sensors and actuators in a good manner, ie not becoming a criminal, or a bad person.
To use my sensors and actuators to make the cycle useful to life.
